muffins
reminds me of America
sweet and sickly
six months spent in Iowa
studying
with straight gleaming smiles
and
straight jock muscle backs
perfectly cut lawns
behind
wide open avenues
clean water fountains
endless libraries
individual desk chairs
— right out of the movies
and
ambition everywhere
always God
and ambition
