Alible utterances

Sanjeev Sethi

Philatelist

If emprise were a stamp

I would be a booklet pane.

More unusual, the experience

more intense am I.

Additions to curiosa

keep me afloat.

Sigint from neurons alight.

In them, I cipher our chronicle.

Slacktivism is for others:

I find it safe to share.

Intimacy with injury

seals its truth on my selvage.

The aware are alone.

Others tap an overworked tongue.

Angst is an expression:

Lease it for limning.

Eternities

Chip butty for one, *vada pau for another,

dissimilar recipes, though in essence

easy to fetch, soul food.

Withal the play of

human emotions without

the garb of cultural contexts.

Poetry melds with many but pulls back

when the bard fails to obey his brief:

As with astrology and polity.

* Street food, popular in Western India.

Source

Your cenotaph glows amid

myriad leanings along

with laundry and grocery lists.

In the rituals of reality,

your luminosity rinses me

of leeriness and gears

my run with grit.

The potential of the dead

can be garnered

for the greater good.

Once the summations are settled

there are no toxic leakages,

unlike with the zoetic.

This is a boon.
