Telling Tales

By Christina Wilkins

Rehearsing and reciting the

Same tired tract:

I, I, I. He, she, he.

They’re laughing at me as

They become the

Narrative at my centre,

From which different twists

Spiral out but always tied

To the heavy weight

Of my story core.

It is telling me, and

I am written rashly,

Too rough, and too soon.

Stina Wilkins spends most of her time reading and writing. She can be found teaching at University or most likely, in a cafe somewhere.
