By Scott Wozniak
Why do we
uncover
the past?
Mining
forgotten
moments,
hoping sense
can come
from vague
lapses
in memory.
I supplement
recognition
of something
greater
on the face
of what’s become
by dissecting
what was never
known.
Artifacts begging
to be excavated
remain in shadows
no matter how deep
the shovel goes.
